WD82 Ltd embraces artificial intelligence as part of its design, visualisation, content and administrative workflow. We use AI because it can help us communicate ideas more clearly, explore concepts quickly and reduce the cost of early-stage visualisation for our clients.
AI-assisted artist renders
A significant proportion of the product and service imagery on this website consists of AI-assisted artist renders. These images help demonstrate the type, scale, appearance, branding possibilities and potential applications of products and services where conventional photography is unavailable, unsuitable or commercially restricted.
Much of the work carried out by WD82 Ltd and the businesses that preceded it has historically been undertaken for other organisations, as a subcontractor, or under commercial confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements. We therefore do not always own, or have permission to publish, suitable high-resolution photography from previous work.
Using an artist render does not mean that WD82 Ltd is advertising a capability it cannot provide. It gives us a practical way to illustrate products, ideas and potential applications without presenting confidential client work as our own public portfolio.
What an artist render represents
Unless an image is explicitly identified as a photograph or case study, AI-assisted imagery should be treated as an illustrative representation rather than a photograph of a specific completed WD82 Ltd project. Final appearance can vary according to specification, materials, dimensions, branding, site conditions and the choices agreed with the client.
Product specifications, inclusions, dimensions, prices and commercial terms are defined by the relevant product page, quotation or contract rather than by an illustrative image.
Human responsibility
AI is a tool used by WD82 Ltd, not a substitute for responsibility. Customer-facing claims, quotations, specifications and commercial decisions remain the responsibility of WD82 Ltd and are subject to human review.
Using AI to visualise your project
We also use AI-assisted visualisation directly with clients. It can turn an early brief, sketch, photograph or idea into useful concept imagery before significant design, fabrication or installation costs are incurred.
This can be particularly useful for bespoke inflatables, branded structures, event installations, fabrication projects, displays, interiors, equipment layouts and other work where seeing an idea is often easier than describing it.
